Alternative road construction techniques for road construction over tree roots
I've recently heard of a new technique for road construction that involves using a special load-dispersing mat and rock fill, then asphalt as a method for constructing a street over the root system of trees. It's supposed to solve the problem of compaction over the roots. I'd like to know more. Is there research or evidence to support this method?
